Set includes one 4" cookie cutter and three different texture mats. One of the three texture mats has a general design that can used with the included cutter as well as other cutters and cupcakes.
This set can be used with a crusting buttercream icing, fondant or other rolled icings. See below for instructions -
Buttercream Icing Instructions:(Note: Must use an icing recipe that will crust. See our recipes section for crusting icing recipe) Bake cookie using cutter from set. Cool completely. Ice cookie with crusting buttercream. Allow buttercream icing to crust (approx 10 minutes, depends on recipe). Place texture mat on crusted buttercream. Roll over mat once with a pastry roller or small rolling pin. Lift mat. Attach embellishments with royal icing, piping gel or other frosting. Continue to decorate with luster dust, food color, sprinkles, and other decorations.
Fondant or other Rolled Icing Instructions: Bake cookie using cutter from set. Cool completely. Lightly spray texture mat with a cooking spray. Wipe off excess with a paper towel. Roll fondant to approximately 1/8" thickness. Place texture mat on the fondant. Firmly roll over the mat. Remove mat. Cut textured fondant with cookie cutter from set. Attach to cookie with piping gel or a thin layer of buttercream. Paint details with food color markers, food color thinned with water or lemon juice, or luster dust. Continue to decorate with sprinkles and other decorations.
Hint • Use either side of the mat. One side will give a raised impression, while the other will give a recessed impression.
